Employee Lifecycle Series Β· Stage 06 of 07

Development is how impact compounds. People β†’ Performance β†’ Purpose.

Leadership Focus

Development Is How Impact Compounds

In August, we talked about Perform, the stage where effort becomes impact. We said ownership means refusing to be passive about the result. This month, we turn to what comes next: Develop.

Perform is about owning today's result. Develop is about expanding what you're capable of tomorrow. The two work together. Every result teaches you something, and every new skill raises the ceiling on the next result.

At KIME, development isn't a perk or a line in a handbook. It's built into how we work: the Fellowship, KIMEU, weekly Case Discussions, coaching from people who have walked the path before you, and new roles that open as we grow. That investment runs in both directions. KIME builds the platform. You decide how far you take it.

This year, KIME turns ten. Ten years ago, a small team started with a big idea about what physical therapy and performance could be. Everything we've built since, every clinic, program, and teammate, came from people who kept getting better. Development isn't just how individuals grow here. It's how KIME grew.

The Develop Stage

Growth That's Real

Like every stage of our lifecycle, Develop is a two-way commitment. It's something KIME owes you, and something each of us owns in return.

KIME can open the door. Walking through it is on each of us.
06 Β· A Two-Way Commitment

Develop

  • KIME's responsibilityInvest in you for real: structured education, honest coaching, clear paths forward, and opportunities that grow as we grow.
  • YoursTake that investment seriously. Show up to learn, seek out the hard feedback, and put new skills to work upgrading lives.

Development isn't something that happens to you. It's something you pursue.

Two New Fellows

This month, Osheray Streeter and Andrew Milton passed their Fellowship exams.

The Fellowship is one of the most demanding development paths at KIME. It takes real study, real skill, and the discipline to keep raising your own standard while caring for patients every day. It's also backed by a $10,000 annual incentive, maintained every year, because demonstrated skill and knowledge help us upgrade more lives.

Osheray passed in the same month as his first anniversary with KIME. That says a lot about what a first year here can hold.

Congratulations, Osheray and Andrew. This is what Develop looks like.

Performance You Can See

The KIME Impact Leaderboard

Our 2026 goal is to upgrade 11,000 lives, one milestone on the path to 100,000 by 2030. Here's where we stand heading into the final stretch of the year.

9,864Lives Upgraded
78,537Visits
6,915Evaluations
2,176Athletes Tested

Development shows up here too. Every new skill, every Fellow, and every new teammate who gets on the ground expands how many lives we can reach. Check your score on the team site, and remember: the trailing 12 months tell the real story.

Performance isn't a moment. It's a pattern.

Beyond the Clinic

Impact in Motion

What we develop inside KIME doesn't stay inside KIME. Our team's expertise travels, and it's making an impact well beyond our clinics.

Clinical-grade testing, in a community gym.
Fitness MD

Our Performance Model, in a Community Gym

This fall, KIME partnered with Fitness MD on an 8-Week Fitness Challenge that's also a research study. Gym members go through the same testing our athletes and patients get: force plates, strength dynamometry, and endurance and aerobic measures. Each member comes away with a single Injury Risk Score and a personalized plan to improve it, built by KIME and Fitness MD together.

The result: the clinical-grade assessment and individualized programming we do every day is now reaching everyday gym members. Because it's run as a study, it also helps build the evidence for proactive screening in community gyms.

β€œIt's a great example of what KIME and Fitness MD can do together, and hopefully the first of many collaborations like it.”Josef Mielke, KIME Fellow
Dbat opens fully November 9.
Dbat Reno

A New Neighbor in Baseball

Our Reno clinic has a new next-door neighbor. Dbat, a baseball and softball academy, opens fully on November 9, and the partnership is already underway.

Miami Marlins player Robby Snelling is training with us right now, and Brendan has been working with him next door at Dbat. As Brendan and Dom keep building KIME's place in Reno's baseball community, Dbat gives us a partner right next door.

Built Over Time

Milestones + Anniversaries

Development doesn't happen in a single moment. It consists of: a course, a case discussion, a piece of feedback, a year of showing up and getting better.

Evan's milestone lands in the same year KIME celebrates ten years, and that's no coincidence: Evan has been part of KIME since the very start. His ten years are KIME's ten years, and his story is woven into ours. Thank you to everyone on this list for the patients you've helped, the teammates you've supported, and the ways you've made KIME better.

Fellowship milestones: Congratulations to Osheray Streeter and Andrew Milton on passing their Fellowship exams.
