May 27, 2026Community is not something we talk about. It’s how we operate.
It doesn’t live inside our clinics or within a single visit. It shows up in the relationships we build, the teams we support, and the environments where people train, compete, and live.
As we grow, our impact expands with us.
That means showing up—consistently.
Building trust.
Creating value beyond the visit.
Whether it’s a local team, a tactical unit, or someone fighting to stay in the game—this is where our work matters most.
Community impact isn’t separate from what we do. It is the standard for how we do it.

New Leaderboard: Making Our Work Visible
This month we introduced a new Community Impact Leaderboard — a tool designed to better reflect the full impact our team is making every day.
Our goal has always been simple: deliver exceptional care while growing the people who deliver it. The leaderboard tracks more than outcomes. It highlights the behaviors that drive them:
- Patient Experience
- Clinical Excellence
- Education
- Referrals
- Community Engagement
To support this, we’ve updated the KIME HPI Form ensuring that everything from team testing and school visits to speaking engagements and event coverage is recognized.
If you’re doing the work, it should be seen.

Community Impact in Action
Across KIME, this is already happening.

Tactical Athlete Initiative
Our Tactical Athlete program continues to build momentum.
- Ongoing relationship development wth California Highway Patrol and Sacramento County Sheriff's Department
- Follow-up testing completed with Woodland Fire
- New Partnership with West Sacramento Fire (Way to go Katie!)
Looking ahead:
Tactical Athlete Challenge coming this October!
- Police, fire, and military participants
- Performance-based competition
- Vendor and sponsorship opportunities
- Marketing efforts beginning in May
- Led by Tactical Athlete SME - Josef Mielke

Now in place: Standardized pricing for testing and performance services–enabling KIME to secure paid contracts with these departments this year.
