Excellence is a core tenet at KIME, and it has a specific meaning: refusing to accept “good enough” when more is possible — for our patients, our athletes, and the people whose lives we’re built to upgrade.
Excellence isn’t a feeling but a standard. It is the willingness to chase a better answer when the easy one is already on the table, and to draw a line where others stay vague.
This month, we’re putting that standard in focus through the work of KIME Human Performance Institute, KIME HPI.

KIME HPI in Focus
KIME HPI — the High Performance Institute — exists to get out in front of injuries, not just rehab them after they happen. Across high school athletes, roughly one in two will be injured in a given year, and a single orthopedic injury can reroute a young person’s entire trajectory. HPI was built to interrupt that story before it starts.
And the work is accelerating. As of this month, HPI has tested 785 athletes year-to-date in 2026 — 79% of our 1,000-athlete goal, and on pace to nearly double it by year-end.
Impact Level: Life-Changing
We’re going deeper on this in a dedicated internal blog post — The Standard Behind HPI — covering the science the program is built on, the standards it’s setting, and why your participation is what makes it possible. Watch for it on the team site this month.

KIMEcast: How HPI Actually Works
Want the full picture now? This month’s featured episode goes inside the engine room of HPI.
In Episode 59, Tony and Russ break down the science the program is built on — kinetic linking, the difference between “healed” and “ready,” why the body’s genius for compensation is exactly what hides injury risk, and the testing metrics that expose it.

HPI is the vehicle that makes us an eligible employer. Participating in HPI isn’t just how we get in front of injuries in our community — for many clinicians, it’s also a path to meaningful student-loan relief. The best way to confirm your own eligibility is the official PSLF Help Tool at StudentAid.gov. Questions about how your HPI involvement factors in? Reach out — we’re glad to help.
KIME is a platform — built to support your career and your life beyond the clinic.
