Message from Leadership

Last month we sharpened our Mission and Vision to reflect what we do every day; inspire hope by optimizing human performance for a better life and a healthier world. Our vision is clear, Upgrade 100,000 lives by 2030.

For us, growth has never been about the size of the company. It’s about expanding our ability to serve more people and create meaningful change in the communities around us. Every patient who walks through our doors, every athlete who returns to play, and every person who regains confidence in their body that’s the mission in action. As our team grows in expertise, and impact, so does our ability to upgrade lives.

Growth is not the goal, it’s the path - 100,000 lives by 2030 - we can’t do that by standing still.

Team Spotlight:

Julia Wright

Julia Wright’s journey with KIME began before she officially joined the team.

In January 2023, Julia came to KIME as a student physical therapist from Western University of Health Sciences for her second clinical rotation under the mentorship of Aaron Crouch. It didn’t take long for the team to recognize her curiosity, work ethic, and natural ability to connect with patients - And as many on the team have discovered a surprising love and affinity for spreadsheets.

After graduating, Julia officially joined KIME in August 2023, and she’s been making an impact ever since — helping hundreds of patients regain confidence in their bodies and return to the activities they love.

Julia’s commitment to growth continued in 2025, when she earned her KIME Fellowship and participated in the KIME Leadership Academy, investing in both her clinical development and leadership skills.

We are proud to announce that Julia has stepped into a new role as SSC Clinic Lead. In this role, she will serve as the on-floor leader of the team — guiding teammates, strengthening the clinic culture, and helping expand KIME’s impact in the community.

Outside the clinic, 2025 was a milestone year personally, as Julia celebrated her wedding in September.

Julia’s journey — from student rotation to clinic leadership — is a powerful example of the growth and opportunity possible at KIME. Her future is bright, and we’re excited to see the continued impact she will make for our patients, our team, and the community we serve.

A New Chapter of Impact in Folsom-

Our newest clinic is now open! Located inside Align Folsom - a partnership that grew out of relationships our team built last year. It’s a natural fit and an example of how KIME expands: through trust earned in the community before a single door opens.

Jon Guinee and Courtney Trueblood have launched the clinic and will be joined by new clinician Matt Smith who brings over 30 years of clinical experience and community relationships to the team.

As this location grows to a full team of eight clinicians it will create new leadership opportunities across the organization - Clinic Lead, Community Lead and Regional Director. Every new clinic gives our team the opportunity to grow.

Each anniversary represents continued commitment to the patients and communities we serve. Thank you for the impact you make every day!

Jamal Albini joined KIME Fit earlier this month as our Lead Adult Fitness Coach. Jamal brings extensive experience in strength and conditioning, facility leadership, and athlete development. Most recently he served as Fitness Center Manager at Blackhawk Country Club, where he led trainer development, designed performance programs, and managed facility operations. Earlier in his career he was promoted to Tier X Coach at Equinox, the highest coaching rank in the organization, and has worked with athletes ranging from youth competitors to professional fighters.

Justin Poerio has joined our team as a KIME Fit Performance Coach. Justin holds a Master’s degree in Applied Sport & Exercise Science – Strength & Conditioning from the University of East London and brings both coaching and performance experience to the team. A former starting wide receiver at UC Davis, Justin has also coached internationally with the U17 British National American Football Team while continuing his development in performance training.

We showed up — and delivered.

Last weekend’s football combine at Oak Ridge High School was a huge success. With all hands on deck, we moved nearly 100 athletes through six testing stations in just an hour and a half — finishing 30 minutes ahead of schedule.

The energy, execution, and teamwork on display reflected exactly who we are. Thank you to everyone who showed up and made this event happen. This is what it looks like when KIME comes together to serve our community at a high level.

This year’s KIME Scholarship attracted 35 applicants from across the country, representing an incredibly talented group of future clinicians committed to advancing the profession and serving their communities.

After a competitive selection process, we are proud to announce that Kevin Rice, a physical therapy student from Arcadia University, has been awarded the $2,500 KIME Scholarship. Kevin stood out for his curiosity, energy, and clear commitment to making a meaningful impact in the field of sports medicine.

While only one applicant receives the scholarship each year, the program is about much more than a single award. Through the process we established connections with an outstanding group of emerging clinicians, and we look forward to continuing to support their development.

The top 10 applicants were invited to participate in the Bridge the Gap: Optimal Health Series, and all applicants will be welcomed into future KIME webinars, tech talks, and educational opportunities as they continue their journey in the profession.

Investing in the next generation of clinicians is one of the ways we continue to grow our impact and expand the reach of our mission.
